Do you remember when Sandy paid a visit to New York & New Jersey?

April 25th, 2013 by admin

Last October, Hurricane Sandy devastated the East Coast and caused billions in property damage. A great deal of the damage didn’t come from the actual hurricane, but from flood waters. This turned out to be a financial disaster for many families and businesses that did not have proper insurance coverage, like flood insurance.
Floods can happen to anybody just about anywhere, with 25% of claims coming from people in low- or moderate-risk areas; New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania were the top three states for these claims last year.
In recent years, we’ve been seeing a whole lot of natural disasters. You should consider taking out a flood insurance policy before another strikes, it’s the only way to truly protect your property from this kind of damage. Flood insurance is a separate coverage which is not covered by your homeowner’s policy.  There is a 30 day waiting period for coverage to take effect so if you are in the middle of a bad storm or any kind of bad weather,  you would not be able to take out a policy that would take effect immediately. Don’t  wait until it is too late.
We represent big name insurance companies like the Travelers that provide flood insurance and we are able to offer you multiple coverage options for less than the cost of a cup of coffee a day.
